Ames Main Street Farmers' Market

The Ames Main Street Farmers Market brings downtown Ames to life every Saturday from May 2 through Oct 17, 2026, running 8 AM to 12:30 PM from May through September and 9 AM to 12:30 PM in October, on the 300 and 400 blocks of Main Street. Around 95 or more vendors each week sell locally grown produce, meats, eggs, baked goods, flowers, plants, jams and handcrafted items. The market also features live music, free kids activities and special events through the season. It is led by the Ames Chamber of Commerce and sits among the shops and restaurants of the historic Main Street district.
