The Valley Junction Farmers Market runs every Thursday from 4 to 8 PM, May through September, with the 2026 season set for May 7 to Sep 24, along the 100, 200 and 300 blocks of 5th Street in Historic Valley Junction, West Des Moines. More than 80 farm stands and vendors sell fresh produce, baked goods, flowers, arts and crafts and prepared food, alongside food trucks, street performers and live music at the Railroad Park stage. A kids zone sits in the north end of the 300 block, and the district shops stay open late on market nights. The market participates in SNAP and Double Up Food Bucks.
