The Waterloo Urban Farmers Market runs every Saturday from 8 AM to noon, from the first Saturday in May through the last Saturday in October, at the RiverLoop Expo Plaza, 460 Jefferson Street in downtown Waterloo. Admission is free. Local farmers and small businesses sell fresh fruits and vegetables, plants, flowers, baked treats, prepared food, honey, eggs, handmade art and crafts. The market hosts free childrens activities and themed special events through the season, including street markets and a Halloween market. It accepts cash, cards, SNAP and EBT, Double Up Food Bucks, WIC and senior vouchers and Veggie Vouchers, handled at the market information tent.
